After Singh expose, NC wants Mir to resign before it is too late
9/24/2013 11:59:39 PM

Javaid Naikoo
srinagar, Sept 24: Hours after former Army chief exposed the money lanes to Kashmir politicians through Army, National Conference (NC) in clear words today warned tainted Agriculture Minister to resign voluntarily or get ready to face consequences.
Senior leaders of the N.C, Ali Mohammad Sagar and Dr Mustafa Kamaal while taking a serious note of the circumstances prevailing in Kashmir since the revelations of V.K Singh on some national T.V channels about Kashmiri politicians today said that Ghulam Hassan Mir has given birth to a new controversy in Kashmir and instead he should resign voluntarily. He is using people like V.K Singh to defend his shabby image which is now impossible as everything has been exposed to the public.
Talking to Early Times, Minister for Rural Development and senior member of the party Ali Mohammad Sagar said that only has an investigation through Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) become necessary but forcible resignation of Agriculture Minister seems quite imminent. "One person of the rank of a Cabinet Minister cannot be allowed to degrade the whole democratic set up of the state because of personal wrong doing, "said Sagar.
According to the additional General secretary of N.C, Dr Mustafa Kamaal, Ghulam Hassan Mir is trying to be very smart now not only with the common masses of Kashmir but also with the political parties of the state as well by using people like V.K Singh to justify his wrong doings.
He said that N.C has already given him enough time to resign voluntarily but instead he should have resigned by now. "Instead he is trying to defame the historical credibility of N.C and present coalition government by calling former Army Chief to talk on his behalf," he said.
He added that Mir should resign voluntarily as soon as possible otherwise Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah will have no option except to seek resignation from forcibly and show him the door.
He also said that state Congress instead of shielding and supporting the Ghulam Hassan Mir behind the curtains must take a serious note of the problem erupted since the money swindling scam about the Ghulam Hassan mir has surfaced and is now encircling all the democratic institutions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pertinently after V.K Singh's revelations about Kashmir politicians other senior members of N.C including Nasir Aslam Wani and Davinder Singh Rana while condemning the statements made by the former Army Chief about Kashmir politicians also warned Agriculture Minister to resign voluntarily before it is too late.
