BJP high command takes serious note of indiscipline | Seeks report from JK Prabhari on groupism in party | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 8: Taking serious exception to infighting in the Party's State unit, the High Command of BJP has sought a detailed report from Party prabhari for J&K on the issue and also urged him to recommend disciplinary action against the leaders indulged in groupism and anti party activities. According to party sources in Union Capital, BJP High Command was perturbed over the happenings in the State unit and staying away of Party senior leadership from the reception organized in honour of Union MoS in Winter Capital yesterday which was followed by a group clash at another felicitation function held at Udhampur. Sources said Party High Command said that J&K was the first unit of the Party where the factionalism was on increase as some vested elements within the Party were trying to play with the Party interests and benefit the coalition NC-Congress in the coming Assembly poll. Sources said the High Command has urged the Party Prabhari for the State to convene a meeting of the senior functionaries of the Party in Jammu and apprise them of Party's views. He was asked by senior Party functionaries in Delhi that the State unit leaders be told in unequivocal terms that there was no room for indiscipline in the Party and no senior leader can be tolerated for encouraging indiscipline in future too. Sources said BJP High Command has made it clear that encouraging the indiscipline and groupism within Party in the State was slated to hit its poll prospectus in the coming Assembly elections and leaders who are part of the said indiscipline have become themselves the victim of groupism in past after losing elections three four times. The Prabhari for J&K was asked by High Command to make this point understand to the BJP leaders and tell them that such activities will be harming the party interests in future too, sources added. The Party High Command has asked the J&K Prabhari to bring truce in J&K unit and encourage them to work as a joint house because elections and mandate have no place before the BJP'S principles and Party leaders should be ready to sacrifice every thing for national interests. To ascertain the situation the State Prabhari has decided to visit the State within next few days and he will meet senior functionaries of the Party, its organizing general secretary, district presidents and incharge cells to take a complete feed back, sources said. Sources said that High Command has asked the Prabhari to make it clear to warring leaders that in case they did not mend their ways the Party will be forced to sideline them during Assembly poll by fielding new faces to refurbish the Party's image in the State. |
