Doda/Jammu, June 9: One person was arrested alongwith huge consignment of 'Nagshatri' a banned forest produce in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.''Based on tip off, Police party of Police Station Gandoh laid a naka near Malikpora, Ganodh, intercepted one Tata Sumo,'' police sources here today said.
They said that during the personal frisking of one Mohd Ashraf S/o Mohd. Abdullah R/o Banola Tehsil Thathri, the police team recovered 10 Kg Nagchattri from his possession and arrested the accused on the spot."The 'Nagshatri' was being smuggled from doda to Jammu.A case against FIR No. 41/2014 u/s 379 RPC, 6 Forest Act stands registered against the accused person and investigation of the case is in progress. |
