Jammu, June 9 : Daily wagers of PD Department today held a meeting and discussed threadbare the discrimination with the employees of Jammu and Kathua district in regularization of employees. The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Kulbir Singh, Provincial President who raised the issue of discrimination with Jammu & Kathua Districts. He said Jammu is the largest District in Jammu Province and on contrary to this, only 321 Daily wagers have been regularized in Jammu District whereas only 60 Daily Wagers have been regularized in Kathua District. On comparing with other districts of Jammu Province, it is observed that the DWs of Udhampur, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch Districts have been regularized up to 2002, whereas the DWs of Jammu & Kathua Districts have been regularized up to 1997 and 1995 respectively. "This type of sheer injustice with these DWs who have completed more than Seven Years in services in the Department is causing resentment amongst these employees", he said. He added that there are a large number of posts lying vacant in the PDD and with such a huge counting of DWs to be regularized, the concerned authorities are not paying any proper heed for redressal of genuine demands of DWs. He said the number of regularization in worse as compared to the Kashmir Province where chunk of employees awaiting regularization have been benefitted whereas the same is heartening for Jammu and Kathua district. |
