Security arrangements for Budha Amar Nath Yatra reviewed 6/9/2014 11:48:23 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, June 9: To take stock of the prevailing security situation in border districts of Rajouri and Poonch and to discuss synergy between the security forces and intelligence agencies keeping in view the forth coming Budha Amar Nath Yatra (Poonch) a high level security meeting was held at the headquarters of Romeo Force (CIF) at Palma today. Maj Gen PS Rajeshwar, GOC, Romeo Force chaired a meeting of 'joint security group' which was attended by senior officers from all the security forces and intelligence agencies, including Deputy Commissioner Hemant Kumar Sharma, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajouri Mubassiar Latifi, Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADC) Poonch Mohd Mumtaz and many others were also present in the meeting. Prevailing security situation in both the frontier districts of Poonch and Rajouri was also discussed and Mubassiar Latifi and Deputy Superintendent of Operations (Poonch) briefed the officials about the prevailing security situation/arrangements in both the districts. The role of various agencies and high level synergy exhibited by all the agencies in recent times was appreciated by the senior officials and it was decided to ensure also the forthcoming Budha Amar Nath yatra incident free. Participants expressed their view on the measures to be taken to keep both the districts free from any militancy related incident.
