LEH, June 9: Providing an opportunity to the students of Leh, three day Science Gadget programme organized by Star Club Social Welfare Society concluded at Islamia Public High School, Leh. NGO organized this science gadget programme for students of far flung areas of Leh to know latest gadgets used in daily life. Dr ABVP Mishra, Scientist National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), distributed prizes among the students. Near about thousand students from 35 schools of Leh participation in this Science Gadget. Last year eight schools participated in this program. Star Club Social Welfare Society, a non-government organization organized 3 day science gadget programme for students of Leh. During programme essay writing/debate/drawing/science quiz, science drama & science toon Competition were main events from student community. Teachers orientation workshop on science in day today life,Science theater workshop, essay competition and film show and interaction with scientists also held. Dr ABVP Mishra highlighted the role of modern science in daily life. He said NCSTC has sponsored such type of science programmes for students of far flung areas. Lauding the efforts of Star Club Social Welfare Society, Executive Councilor, Mohd Shafi urged upon the students to nurture scientific temperament to capably cope up with the fast changing world's scenario. He also expressed happiness over the outstanding performance of students from government schools during 3 day programme. He suggested that every year such type of programmes should be organized for the welfare of students. BMO, Leh was also present in the concluding function. |
