Kishtwar, June 9 : Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo along with DC Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan today laid foundation stone of Rs 97 lakh project for up gradation of New Bus Stand Kishtwar. While talking to media persons, Sajjad Kichloo said that Bus Stand of every District reflects the face of the particular place and said that in order to uplift the face of Kishtwar town, the government accorded sanction to this 97 lac face lifting project. He said that under this project the premixing and black topping of new bus stand has been taken into hand at first instance and the same will be completed within a week or two weeks time before the commencement of Urs of Sofi Saint Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA) and annual Sarthal Yatra schedule to commence from the end of this month. He said that in 2nd part, the foot paths, drainage and passenger sheds will be constructed. He said that the project will be completed within next two to three months. He said that keeping in view of public resentment against the GREF over the issue of worst condition of Malipath to Kuleed chowk road stretch presently in position of GREF agency, Kichloo said that the government has temporary handed over this 2.5 KM road stretch to R & B for blacktopping till the GREF get formal approval from the central government. He said that keeping in view of upcoming pilgrimage season of Urs, Sarthal Yatra and Machail Yatra, District administration has been directed to provide better facility to visiting pilgrims. He said that on spot directions to the officials of District administration, municipality, PDD, CA&PD, R & B, Health, Tourism, Police and other departments has been issued to work in tandem to overcome the problems before the commencement of pilgrimage season. He said that Municipality with the help of PDD will install LED lights at key locations in the city and its adjoining areas. He directed DC Kishtwar to held regular review meetings with regard to Machail Yatra, Urs & Sarthal Devi Yatra and briefs him about the problems and short comings faced by the administration. He said that more developmental projects will be started in Kishtwar in near future. |
