Div Com reviews dev works enroute Shiv Khori Shrine | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 10 : Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu today discussed development issues related to Gharana and associated Wetland Conservation Reserves in a meeting convened here today. Threadbare discussion was held on issue of demarcation of Gharana and associated wetland conservation reserves (Pargwal, Kukrian, Nanga and Sangral). Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to ensure that demarcation works be completed within two months so that further development process would be initiated. He stressed for securing the area for the conservation of migratory birds to attract more and more tourists from the country. The Divisional Commissioner reviewed the progress on issue related to approach road from R. S. Pura to Gharana and from Suchetgarh to Gharana. Shantmanu stressed upon to facilitate the visitors from both sides so that border tourism of Suchetgarh can be interlinked with the Eco-tourism of Gharana Wetland Conservation Reserve. Other issues discussed related to drainage system for sewage disposal of village Gharana and Ecotourism activity in and around Gharana Wetland Conservation Reserve. He discussed various issues pertaining to development of Shiv Khori Shrine which mainly included implementation of master town plan of village Ransoo, requirement of space at Railway station Jammu and Katra for publicity of Shivkhori Shrine, construction of Helipad and allied infrastructure along with approach road, Widening of Kanda-Ransoo road (9 kms stretch), construction of toilet blocks in Gouri Bhawan, construction of rope way, completion of bus and taxi stand at Ransoo, and other allied facilities for the pilgrims at the shrine. Divisional Commissioner stressed the need for developing Ransoo in a planned manner to cater to needs of ever increasing rush of pilgrims to the shrine. |
