KPC demands CBMs before KPs return to valley 6/10/2014 11:57:03 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 10 : While reacting over the President of India's address to the joint session of the Parliament wherein he mentioned return of Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir valley, the Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) said that Kashmiri Pandits never negated return to their birth land in Kashmir valley but demand taking some Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) before initiating the process. Addressing the core committee meeting of KPC held at New Delhi today, its president Kundan Kashmiri said that KPs also want to "live together as a community, as true citizens of India" with free flow of Indian constitution, as Kashmir belongs to them along with other sections of the Kashmiri society. But cosmetic arrangements for their rehabilitation in Kashmir valley in twin cities, townships or settlement in clusters without taking into consideration the prevailing geo-political and historical facts in view will neither be in the interest of displaced Kashmiri Pandits nor in the interest of nation and its government at the centre. Kundan Kashmiri further said that under present prevailing circumstances these displaced Kashmiri Hindus who were representing Indian ethos in Kashmir and became frequently worst victim in the past at the hands of the forces inimical to their existence, needs to be sincerely rehabilitated in Kashmiri valley as a strong Indian nationalists after abrogation of Article 370 from the state of J&K and also to declare by the government that Indian part of Kashmir is a settled issue which would never be debated and discussed in any forum at national and international level which mainly include Pakistan, Hurriyat and other separatists.
