Jammu, June 10 : Security has been beefed up and high alert sounded at the Jammu Airport post Taliban attack at Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan's financial capital Karachi. "We have sounded alert at Jammu Airport as well as Srinagar International Airport in the wake of militant attack in Karachi," Sunil Sharma - Inspector General of Police (Security) said here today. Mr Sharma said directions have been issued to all the concerned officials and troops have been asked to maintain extra vigil around the airports. "Frisking and checking has also been increased at the terminals," he added. At least, 29 people, including 10 heavily armed militants, were killed in an attack last night at Jinnah International Airport at Karachi. |
