| Neelam Welfare Society organizes skill development prog | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 11: Neelam Women Welfare Society Jammu conducted a short term training programme on Skill Development Programme (Vocational Training) at village Thalwal Phallain Mandal. Trhe objective of the workshop was to provide awareness/sensitization and encouragement about skill development (Vocational Training) among persons with disabilities especially residing in semi-urban and rural areas. The programme was sponsored by the Director, Composite Regional Centre, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, Bemina, Srinagar, J&K. On this occasion Kasim Bhookya, Coordinator of the programme along with other dignitaries delivered speeches regarding various schemes/facilities available under the said programme to the beneficiaries present at the venue. After undergoing suitable vocational training the beneficiaries are eligible to get loan facility from National Handicapped Finance Development Corporation for establishment of their own business or self- employment set-ups etc. |
