5 engineers forced to join retail sector | UDAAN crash lands-1 | | Bivek Mathur JAMMU, June 11: The recruitment agency under the employment plan of state "UDAAN" deceived five technical engineers of Jammu and forced them to join retail sector. The five engineers of Jammu said that after falling prey to number of fake promises under the "UDAAN" policy of Jammu and Kashmir Government when they complained National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) about various problems they faced during training period like accommodation, traveling related issues, lunch related issues and especially frustration as far as their career was concerned, some of their demands were considered but the person who had recruited them for 4G installation convinced them to in Reliance Digital (Retail Shop) as sales men. How pathetic? The trainee of Hyderabad batch under UDAAN shared the content of mail sent to them by the same person which reads-"We are glad to inform you that your candidature for On Job Training (OJT) has been shortlisted by Reliance Digital or any Reliance Group Company/Alliance for a suitable position and once the 4G service is launched, you will be considered for hiring as Customer Support Executive of that team. Hence, as we await the hiring for 4G services in Reliance Jio currently, you have the option to join the Reliance Digital or other placement being offered by the company i.e. Reliance group, till the time the 4G openings are available with Reliance Jio and other service providers as well. Further, as soon as any other openings are created in the desired positions suiting your candidature, you shall be informed by us for suitable placement process in respective companies". Following this, the five deceived aspirants further writes to NSDC and questioned: "If there were no vacancy in Reliance 4G, then why they recruited us? We were relieved from Gopi Krishna Electronics (Vendor) on May 31, 2014 and no response has been given to us till June 9, 2014. What to do in coming days? Already 10 days are over, we are staying in the hostel premises and we don't know about the OJT and surety of job as UDAAN has promised after training period but we have wasted most of the time sitting in the hostels. The irresponsible UDAAN partners are not using the money of Central Government in a productive manner and instead of making the future of the students of Jammu and Kashmir; they are damaging the future by making the false promises before the training period. Why these UDAAN partners are playing with the future of the youths of Jammu and Kashmir?" Surely, the dilemma of students about their future does not seems to be an effort to allege anyone through the complaint but they are asking for justice to their future which was promised during the training and hence it is the moral responsibility of the Chief Minister to cross check why they were deceived so as to assure justice to these aspirants. |
