UDHAMPUR, June 12: In support of demand for restoration of power supply at Sudh Mahadev, Latti Dhunna, Chenani, Kud, Pantitop and Sarmoli areas, the Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today held a protest demonstration at Sudh Mahadev.
Led by senior JKNPP leader Dhani Ram Atri, the protesters blocked Sudh Mahadev-Latti Road to express their resentment against the power failure.
The power supply is affected due to damage of 5 MVA station at Chenani since yesterday.
Addressing the protesters, Atri flayed PDD Department and District Administration for not taking necessary steps to restore power supply to the affected areas from the last two days. He warned the District Administration that if power supply will not restore immediately, the people will force to block Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Later, the protesting people lifted the dharma on the assurance of Tehsildar Chenani. |
