Manjit Singh reflects despondency of Congress | Appeals CM for water, electricity! | | Early Times Report Vijaypur, June12: In a development that reflects the lack of co-ordination between the coalition partners, Congress leader Manjit Singh appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for ensuring adequate water and electricity in Vijaypur and its adjoining areas where the people have been suffering badly. Talking about the problems of Badi, Badori, Rajinder Pura, Sangwal, Vijaypur, Kotli, Kohlar, and Rakhrajpur, Holliana areas, the former Congress Minister reflected the despondency of Congress in the coalition. The demand has generated a fair amount of sarcasm. Congress happens to be a part of the government in this neglected state. It proved that Congress acts as a B team in the coalition. As a matter of right, the Congress should have taken the government to task for neglecting the above mentioned areas. Seeking intervention of the Chief Minister is an admission of failure of the Congress to enforce its writ. Congress was never so weak, believe political circles. Those who were present in meeting IYC Leader Dr. Pankaj, Manjit Kumar, Kham Ral, Shamsha Din, Nazir Ahmed( Jeera). |
