Jammu, June 14: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) conducted sanitation drive in ward no. 1, 2 & 3 and also seized 10 cans of adulterated milk.
As per press release, the drive was led by Kiran Wattal, Municipal Commissioner and the staff members from the Health, Veterinary, Engineering, Khilafwarzi wing etc, were also present. On spot checking of milk was done and 10 cans of milk was seized which was not conforming to the prescribed quality standard. Besides, 10 Kg of sweets was also compounded.
Also, various Eateries dispensing food items were inspected and those having no valid licenses were warned to comply to the provisions of Municipal Act and FSS Act.
The attendance of the SKC's was checked and they were advised to perform their duties with dedication and punctuality. The Engineering work under taken by the Corporation was also inspected in the areas of Purani Mandi and Panjtirthi. |
