Brazen act of cheating by JU 5o rupee exam form sold for Rs 350 in Kishtwar 6/15/2014 12:24:52 AM Asif Iqbal Naik KISHTWAR, June 14: In a glaring act of cheating the University of Jammu private examination form valuing Rs. 45 is being sold to the students in Kishtwar district at Rs. 350 which is approximately 700% more than the actual cost. While talking to Early Times, the college students who purchased these forms from local shops in Kishtwar at exorbitant rates said that despite approaching the college authorities several times in past, they fail to provide the examination forms. They said that the practice of selling private examination forms in Kishtwar district is going on since long and added that concerned authorities pay no attention towards the issue. They blame that University Authorities at the helm of sale of examination form were hand in glove with the shopkeepers of remote areas like Kishtwar, Doda, Bhaderwah, Ramban, Rajouri and Poonch areas and supplied them examination forms in bulk. When contacted Imran Farooq, Public Relationship Officer (PRO) Jammu University said that University has no knowledge about the sale of private forms on shops and termed it as illegal. After inquiring about the matter, PRO assured action against the shopkeepers who are selling these examination forms illegally. He assured that University will look into the matter and promises action. He said that on next working day, the University will issue fresh directions with regard to sale of examination form at University counter. He said that Vice Chancellor of the University will issue direction to the examination department for supplying the examination forms to concern college authorities for the sale among the students on proper recipient along with form number against the name of the candidate who wants to appear in the university examination. He also assured that same directions will also be issued to examination department with immediate effect.
