Jammu, June 15 : 'RTI on Wheels', A mobile van creating awareness among the people related to Right to Information has arrived the state of Jammu and Kashmir on 10-day tour.
"The van 'RTI on Wheels' started its journey from Gujarat and will visit across the country with an aim to make people aware of right to information, its pro and cons," Balvinder Singh, an RTI activist from Jammu said. Singh said a NGO namely 'Gujarat Pehal' took an initiative and started the journey.
"In all, 6 people comprising RTI activists, are travelling in the vehicle," he said adding that 'RTI on Wheels' will tour for 10 days in Jammu and Kashmir."
After its 2 day stay in Jammu, it will cover mountainous belts including Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Ramban and will also visit Srinagar," said the activist. He, further, said they will return via Mughal Road. "The van carries STD facility, project reports, other related information related to RTI," he added. |
