Natrang celebrates Bhanu Udhay Goswami's success story to Hollywood

Jammu, June 16: Natrang Theatre today organized a ceremony to celebrate the success journey of Bhanu Udhay Goswami - son of the soil who has made it to the Hollywood's 'Blemished Light'. A product of Natrang Jammu, Bhanu Uday has not only done proud to the local artists' community but to the entire population of the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
Giving details Bawant Thakur said that Banu started doing theatre as a child and did the main roles in his highly acclaimed plays 'Aap Hamare Hain Kaun' and 'Mere Hisse Ki Dhoop Kahan Hai' later lead the plays like 'Rang Badalti Dunia' 'Charan Dass Chor' and 'Kanjoos'.
"After graduating from Delhi University, Bhanu joined the National School of Drama and completed his post-graduation with specialization in Acting. He made Mumbai as his base and shot the National fame with his first TV series in 'Special Squad' as lead actor which featured on Star One," said Thakur and added, "this was followed by his playing of lead role in Prakash Jha's Baahubali, and a mega TV series lead role in 'Shaque Har Kadam Par' on Sony."
Describing this as a proud moment, Thakur further said that all those who really want to promote and see the talent of a Star in making can avail the opportunity and can witness his latest Bollywood Hindi movie 'Machli Jal Ki Rani Hai, in which Bhanu has played the main role. Machli Jal ki Rani hai is at present running successfully at the Movie Time in Indra Theatre. Bhanu has also series 'Encounter' on Sony TV in his credit.
Born on 16th October, 1980, Bhanu was brought up in the city of temples. His Father Anil Goswami is an IAS officer and presently holding the post of Home Secretary in Union Government while his mother is a renowned senior lawyer.
The forthcoming films of Bhanu Goswami include Yaksh directed by Mukul Abhyankar and Chokher Bali directed by Anurag Basu. He is also playing lead role of Ruskin Bond on the upcoming 'Ek Tha Rusty' based on the stories of Ruskin Bond.
