| Kathua, June 16: In continuation to the week-long celebration of the Raising Day of J&K Police today a traffic awareness programme was held at Kathua wherein a large number of prominent citizens, Beopar Mandal, Transport Union including Bus, Trucks and Matadoor Union were briefed. Meeting was presided over by the Yogesh Sharma, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kathua while other senior officials present included DySP (Hqrs) Kathua, DTO Kathua and representatives from Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) Kathua. All the officers and speakers stressed upon the transport community that the safety of the passengers lies into the hand of drivers and they should be very careful while driving the passenger vehicles. They exhorted upon following the traffic rules / laws while driving. The general public appreciated the step for conducting this sort of seminar and appealed the Police authorities to conduct more such awareness camps. |
