PDP stages protest against GREF | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 16: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kishtwar led by Youth President Mohammed Umar Malik today held strong protest against GREF authorities at Dool over delay in release of wages to the laborers. Addressing the gathering of laborers, PDP Youth President Kishtwar Mohammad Umar Malik demanded benefits to the Laborer at par with Labor laws and as per the direction of honorable Supreme Court of India. He said that GREF authorities are violating the laws with impunity and alleged that GREF authorities are strangulating the rights of poor laborers who are working with utmost zeal and zest with the organisation since last over two decades. He said that PDP will fight tooth and nail for justice of over 2000 laborers presently engage with the organisation in Kishtwar district. PDP Youth President said that government has turned blind eye towards the plight of these poor laborers whose rights has been infringed by the organisation. He said that PDP under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad syed and Mehbooba Mufti will sweep upcoming Assembly elections in the state schedule to held later this year and assured all the laborers that PDP will take full care of the issues and the problems faced by the labor class in the state including those of Kishtwar district. He said that it was only under Mufti Mohammad Syed regime that the issues of causal laborers were raised at proper forums and addressed properly. He said that PDP will include the issues of causal laborers in its manifesto and added that the party has the vision to address the problems faced by the labor class. |
