| Two killed, 21 others wounded in Doda accident | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 16 : In another tragic accident on poor roads of mountainous Doda region, two passengers were killed while 21 others got injured when a Minibus bearing registration No. JK 12-1169 in which they were travelling skidded off the road and rolled down into 200 feet deep gorge at Balwas on Bhagwah in Doda District. The tragic accident took place this morning at about 07:30 AM. As per the details, the driver of the ill -fated vehicle lost his control over the vehicle due to which it rolled down into a deep gorge resulting in on spot death of two persons and injuries to 21 others .
As soon as the accident took place, contingent of Police personnel, members of civil society, officials of administration rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. The occupants of the vehicle have been evacuated and rushed to district hospital Doda where two persons have been declared as brought dead . Police identified the deceased as Ghulam Nabi s/o Mohammad Skinander r/o Chapra Dandal and Amir Suhaol s/o Gul Mohammad Khan r/o Chapnari. The critically wounded persons who have been Air lifted to Soura Medical Institute Srinagar for specialized treatment were identified as Zia-ul Haq s/o Mohammad Khalil r/o Doda, Shahid Hussain s/o Abdul Qayoom r/o Kotla Begnari, Shamir Farhan D/o Master Tasaduq r/o Akarmabad , Kesar Singh s/o Omkar Singh r/o Manjmi Dessa and Nasir Majeed s/o Mohammad Amin Shorawardy r/o Doda.
The other injured passengers presently undergoing treatment at District Doda Hospital has been identified as ; Ranjit Singh s/o Bharat Singh r/o Pul Doda, Mohammad Amin s/o Gul Mohammad Zargar r/o Bhagwah , Mohammad Muzamil s/o Khushi Mohammad r/o Bhagwah , Mohammad Kifayat s/o Mohammad Sharief Khan r/o Akrambad , Sanjay Kumar s/o Jagdish r/o Chalwas Bhagwah , Sansari Devi w/o Rajesh Kumar r/o Chalwas Bhagwah, Karnail Singh s/o Prem Raj r/o Gardhi Bhagwah, Sakeena Banoo d/o Ghulam Mohammad Parey r/o Menchar , Muneera Begum w/o Ghulam Mohammad r/o Kotala Begrni , Ashiq Ali s/o Abdul Majid Lone r/o Gurmul, Javed Ahmed w/o Ghulam Qadir Bhat r/o Kuddhar , Rohita Raman s/o Jaget Singh r/o Begarni , Mohammad Yousuf s/o Ghulam Mohammad Bhat r/o Zadan , Taseena Banoo d/o Mohammad Iqbal Dar r/o Kuddhar , Rajesh Kumar s/o Hans Raj Gupta r/o Doda , Muneera Akhther w/o Mohammad Amin Bhat r/o Doda. |
