PHE WWA criticizes Govt for fulfilling demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 16: PHE Workers Welfare Association, Jammu Province has criticized the government for not fulfilling the demands of field/operational staff and all sorts of daily rated workers/need basis/casual workers and CP. While addressing press conference, members of the association said that the demands of the regularization of the employees and workers of P.H.E. Department since 1994 have not been responded positively by the state government. All the commitments given by the State Government as well as the Minister concerned to the association in the past at several occasions and official meetings have not been fulfilled by the authorities concerned in time frame, they said. They alleged that number of memorandum, charter of demands and representations have been submitted at all levels by the association to the State Government but the State Government and authorities concerned has not shown any seriousness over the burning issues and long pending genuine demands of poor and innocent youths, employees/workers of the Department till date. They highlighted the demands included enhancement of wages @ Rs. 300/- per day as minimum wage, disbursement of wages to all sorts of daily rated workers before 5th of every month regularly, pending arrears of wages should disbursed in toto, concrete employment policy for regular or daily rated workers should be framed, creation of new post for field/operational staff to avoid any type of stagnation, and holding of DPC of all cadres in the Department. |
