GANDERBAL, June 30: District Ganderbal is going to prove Waterloo for National Conference given its poor governance. People are fed up with the NC led government as it has done nothing more than exploiting them. The people seem to be adamant to blow off the candle of NC.
Ganderbal, which has remained the political capital of the state for decades as it used to be the headquarter of the National Conference. Despite this, the district could not progress and the people rue their association with the NC.
"This district didn't get the deal it deserved. The National conference leaders, including the ones from the Sheikh dynasty, played with the emotions and nothing people centric was done during the NC led governments and Omar Abdullah has widened this gap," said Imtiyaz Ahmad from Ganderbal while talking to Early Times.
Imtiyaz says the district committed mistakes in the past by helping the cause of the National Conference. He hoped the people will not repeat the mistake.
Imtiaz said the district has resolved to teach National Conference a lesson. "They people have already guiven vent to their anger during the LS polls. People of Ganderbal strongly believe that by giving the reins of the party in the hands of a politically immature person, NC has lost the credibility. This turn around in Ganderbal, once the bastion of NC reminds the people of the famous proverb in Urdu 'is ghar ko aag lagi ghar ke chirag se'.
The people claim that, it was their all out support for the NC, which saw the trio of Abdullahs rising to the highest seat of power. But, according to these people, the Ganderbal led rebellion is going to bury the party for ever.
"It is a fact that Omar Abdullah is in the highest seat of power because he mislead the innocent voters of the district with hollow slogans and false promises. The people of the district repent over their decision and are eagerly waiting for his fall in the coming assembly elections," said Shabir Ahmad while sharing his ideas with the Early Times.
Some people from the Lar Ganderbal who were talked to by the Early Times said, "The leaders of the NC are day dreaming that they will be able to retain the power in the coming assembly elections when they have given nothing more than the beating to the people."
These people ask as to when Omar Abdullah took time out and enquired about the health of 'Ill Ganderbali ' which has been crying in pain and desperate for help. According to these people, Omar's head must be down in shame because he failed to create a transport yard and parking lot in the district even during six years term of governance headed by him.
