Early Times Report Jammu, July 10: With an aim to help streamline and boost growth of various associated industries, particularly in the sector of tourism and to create a pathway to encourage improved tourism infrastructure of the Jammu and Kashmir, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a one day Seminar titled "Progressive Jammu: Today and Tomorrow - The Way Forward" here today at Hotel Asia in Jammu. Among prominent present on the occasion were Divisional Commissioner Divisional Commissioner Shantmanu, Directorate of Tourism, Jammu Division headed by Soujanya Sharma, and members of the J&K Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The daylong seminar held at Hotel Asia saw the participation of J&K Bank as well as IIFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Company and other brand names acknowledged in the sector. The speakers and participants deliberated on the topics regarding infrastructure upgradation issues, administrative policy making initiatives, supportive financing by bankers, safety& security insurance and their benefits, and the outlook of the government agencies for smooth facilitation and betterment of the region. Meanwhile PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Jammu Chapter invited potential investors and business houses from Northern Region of India to actively participate and augment their business plans by creating affordable and smooth tourism infrastructure to boost leisure, adventure, rural, religious & cultural tourism of Jammu Region such that more and more tourists, both domestic & international, find interest to stay and enjoy for longer stints. During the occasion M/s Proplarity Business Group showcased their business plans in front of the state government authorities. Other potential stakeholders and service providers such as Hoteliers' Association of Jammu, Tour & Travel Operators' Association, Hospitality Industry members, Taxi Owners' Association, etc. participated and put up their points during the Seminar.
