Cheat denied bail | | | Jammu, July 11: Special Excise Mobile Magistrate Jammu Mr. Amarjeet Singh Langeh today rejected the bail application of one Inderjeet Singh who was arrested by Pouni Chak police in cheating and theft case. According to the police report indicates that FIR NO 176/2013 for the offences u/s 420/380 RPC was registered on a complaint filed by one Shail Kumar who runs a goldsmith shop at Pouni chak who calimed that applicant came to his shop and ordered a golden chain of 30 grams. It is also alleged that an advance amount opf Rs 10,000 was also paid to shopkeeper. After two days, it is alleged when applicant came for delivery of golden chain, he somehow managed to steal the same and this act is allegedly captured in the CCTV camera of complainant. After hearing Senior Prosecuting Officer Jatinder Anand, Special Excise Mobile Magistrate Jammu Mr. Amarjeet Singh Langeh observed that the absconding accused is alleged to be king pin of the gang which resorts to frequent thefts in the area and co-accused who is alleged to be habitual offender is yet to be arrested. Court further observed that circumstances like nature and character of evidence and social fall out of gravity of the alleged crime too have to be given due consideration and it is all the more relevant when the investigation is at initial stage. With these observations Court rejected the bail application. (JNF) |
