Promised good days, refugees get worse: Narinder Kashyap | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 12: A meeting of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) held here today to discuss the problems of West Pakistan Refugees and PoK refugees. The meeting was chaired by the National General Secretary and Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha, Narinder Kashyap. In this meeting problems regarding SC/ST/OBC of J&K state and displaced persons of West Pakistan and PoK of 1947, 1965 and 1971 were discussed.Speaking on the occasion, Kashyap said that these displaced persons came on the state were not granted any right by the J&K government adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his election campaign made promises of settlement of the refugees issues but after coming in power he forgot everything. He further said that President's address to both houses of the Parliament had no mention of refugees issues so did the annual budget presented by the Modi government. Kashyap further said that only Rs 500 crore has been kept in the budget for the permanent resettlement of the Kashmiri pandits in Kashmir valley which is insufficient and this amount should be enhanced by the Center Government. |
