Dental Surgeons' fast unto death enters day 8 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 12 : Dental Surgeons Associations Jammu Kashmir (DSA-JK) continued their fast unto death for the 8th consecutive day and dharna for the 12th consecutive day at Ambphalla Chowk Jammu where unemployed dental surgeons are continuously demanding for their jobs and a separate Directorate for dental health. The president of association questioned the state Govt. for their ill and arrogant attitude towards the fulfillment of genuine demands. The agitating doctors said that more than two weeks have elapsed from the start of protest for our rights at Ambphalla Chowk, Jammu and press enclave, Srinagar but none from Government side has neither approached nor issued any statement regarding our concerns. This shows the Govt's deaf ear policy towards skilled unemployed youth who have spent their precious six years of life to get a knowledge which can be utilized for the welfare of society but the Govt's such attitude has put their dreams in total darkness. The Chairman of the Association Dr. Pawan Singh Jasrotia said that yesterday the delegation from Dental Surgeons Association-India presented our memorandum of demands to Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan who has assured that immediate action will be taken to address our grievances. |
