Court denies bail to husband for attempting to murder his Naib-Tehsildar Wife 7/13/2014 1:20:17 AM Early Times Report Jammu, July 12 (JNF) : Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu Kamlesh Pandita today rejected the bail application of one Masood Ahmed Choudhary, son of Bahuddin, a resident of Macca Masjid, Bathindi Extension Officer of Agriculture Department who attempted to kill his wife Riffat presently posted as Naib-Tehsildar in Revenue Dept by serving poisonous substance laced coffee. After hearing Advocates OP Thakur and Dheeraj Katoch appearing for the petitioner whereas Senior Prosecuting Officer Rohit Gupta for the state whereas Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi with Adv Veenu Gupta for the complainant, Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu Kamlesh Pandita observed that accused Masood Ahmed Choudhary is concerned appears to be proactive the way he tried to get rid of his wife by administering poisonous (datura) in her coffee and the alleged offence committed by the accused person is very serious even though his attempt failed and the way the offence was committed by the accused shatters confidence of the society at large which is substantially family oriented. With these observations Court rejected the bail application of the accused Masood Ahmed Choudhary and granted bail to father-in-law of the victim Babu din with conditions. According to the complaint filed by the victim woman namely Riffat, daughter of Haider Hussain of Vidhata Nagar, Bhathindi, working in the Revenue Department as Naib Tehsildar since 2009 said that she was married to Extension Officer of Agriculture Department posted at Seot, tehsil Nowshera namely Masood Ahmed Choudhary, son of Babu din, a resident of Macca Masjid, Bathindi in the year 2012 and is having a 10-months-old girl. Masood with the intention to get money and dowry started torturing and harassing me with the help of his two sisters' vis-à-vis through illegal and uncivilized means. When she refused to accept the demands of husband, the latter along with his two sisters planned to murder me and forced me to drink coffee laced with poisonous substance at Bahu Plaza on June 29, 2014.
