Jammu, July 12: The process for Assembly elections has started and political parties have also pulled up their socks to expose each other. The Congress, which got crushing defeat at the hands of its arch rival BJP in the Parliamentary elections, has decided to expose BJP in the Assembly polls to corner the over enthusiastic saffron party. Credible sources disclosed that as part of its new re-devised strategy, the Congress has decided not to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly during Assembly elections campaign. "Instead of attacking Narindra Modi or his government, Congress leadership would try to expose misdeeds of local BJP leaders who have many loose points", sources said and added that by using official machinery, Congress leadership has been engaged into the job to gather all weak points of local BJP leaders. Credible sources said that during a meeting of party leaders of Congress it has been decided that official machinery would be used especially local intelligence agencies to collect evidences against state BJP leaders, who have been involved in some misdeeds. "Some BJP leaders have taken undue favours from various government departments and Congress leadership has directed the administration to prepare lists of all those undue favours which have been illegally given to local BJP leaders", sources said and added that a senior BJP leader has got undue favours during the last 10 years and Congress leadership was preparing the list of those favours. Sources said that Congress leadership have also decided to utilize services of some annoyed BJP leaders who were witnessed to the 2009 Rajya Sabha elections in J&K when some BJP MLAs had voted in favour of National Conference candidate. Congress leadership has decided to collect official documents to substantiate allegations that in 2009 Rajya Sabha elections, BJP MLAs on the directions of the national leader had voted in favour of National Conference candidates. Congress leadership had realized that it was mistake on their part in Lok Sabha elections that party had directly attacked Narendra Modi but spared local BJP leaders, who are infamous for committing a number of blunders. |
