Fatty food may cause loss of smell | | | Fatty foods are not good for health. They cause obesity, heart attack, blood pressure and a host of other medical problem. But they also cause one thing that we weren’t really sure about. Fatty foods according to a latest report also destroy your sense of smell. This is a serious issue and if you actually lose your sense of food aroma, more than half of the interest in food is gone. And so I am sure many people are going to take the issue rather very seriously. Many people don’t mind actually filling up their bellies well after they are fully satisfied. They want to eat the foot available in plate and on offer instead what they actually need to eat. This is very dangerous and cause serious health issued. One side effects of overeating according to a latest study is that you lose sense of smell. This is the first study of this kind and says in details as to how it actually happens. In a study examining how high-fat foods impacted smell, neuroscientists from Florida State University found that high-fat diet is linked to major structural and functional changes in the olfactory system, which gives us our sense of smell. When researchers introduced a new odour to monitor their adjustment, the mice with the high-fat diets could not rapidly adapt, demonstrating reduced smell capabilities.
