41 AK live rounds recovered in Chingus

Rajouri, July 22: Police today have recovered 41 live rounds of AK 47 rifle which were buried at the corner of a field in village Malyana under the jurisdiction of Chingus police station.
Sources said that the AK rounds were buried in a corner of a field in a village Malyana falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chingus. The consignment became visible after recent heavy rains which washed away the loose soil and these were noticed by a local who informed the police. "On receiving information, a police team led by DySP (Operations) rushed to the spot and took the custody of the consignment, police sources said, adding, "a case in this connection stands registered at Police Station Chingus. According to sources, the said consignment was either kept by the militants or by their Over Ground Worker (OGW) when the area witnessed peak militancy. "It was also the crossing route of the militants when there was no fence on the LoC, sources said.
