| Vaishno Devi pilgrim dies in road mishap | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 22: A 35 years-old pilgrim of Mata Vaishno Devi lost her life when the motorcycle she was riding on skidded off at Nagrota while she was going to pay obeisance at Vasino Devi shrine, last night. The deceased has been identified as Manjeet Kour wife of Niranjan Singh of Moga Punjab.
Police sources said that Manjeet Kour along with her husband was going to Mata Vaishno Devi on their motorcycle. "When they reached near Nagrota, her husband lost control over the motorcycle after rear tyre of the motorcycle burst resulting Manjeet fell down and sustained fatal injuries, police sources said.
"Though some locals and police acting swiftly shifted injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) but the doctors declared her as brought dead, they added.
Meanwhile concerned police have registered a case and started investigation in this regard. |
