Technical Education department officials project demands before minister | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, July 22: Employees of Technical Education department have voiced concern over the attachment of an honest officer in the department. The employees raised this issue with the Minister for Technical Education, Viqar Rasool Wani. In a statement, a spokesman of ITI employees union said that a 50 member delegation of ITI Employees Union under the leadership of Abdul Qayoom Wani, President Employees Joint Action Committee met Vikar in his office chamber and apprised him about the situation that was created by the frequent attachment of Muneer Ahmad Shah whom the delegation referred to as the most honest officer of the department. "The Minister was told that the attachment of the said officer was taken serious by the employees' fraternity including officers and that they will protest against the same if it is not revoked at an earliest. There are some opportunist elements in the department who are unleashing malicious propaganda against honest officers/officials of the department and are misleading the employees to carry forward their agenda of imposing totalitarian rule in the department," said the spokesman. The spokesman said the delegation headed by its President Mohammad Abbas met Parvaiz Iqbal Khateeb, Director Technical Education and praised him for taking path breaking decisions for the welfare of poor trainees particularly youth and common employees. The spokesman said the decisions of the department relating to appointment of examiners for apprenticeship trade test, cancellation of attachments, transfer of over stay officials and proper utilization of available manpower had un-nerved the idle earners and sinecures who get frustrated by these initiatives and cry hoarse. |
