Jammu, July 23: Expressing serious concern on the rising incidents of ceasefire violations on the Line of Control and International Border with Pakistan, leading to injuries and even killing of some of our jawans and hardships to civilian population, Rajya Sabha member Ghulam Nabi Azad said that NDA Government has been unsuccessful in fulfilling its promise to the people of the State and country to respond forcefully to the ceasefire violations by Pakistan. Conveying his condolences to the families of the martyred jawans, Azad said that every citizen of this country voted NDA Government to power to fulfil its promise of acting very strongly against Pakistan to bring an end to the incessant ceasefire violations. "There have been persistent ceasefire violations during the last one month and only in the last four days, our two jawans have been martyred due to Pakistani firing on the Line of Control, and NDA Government is not willing to speaking about it, not to talk of responding to it", said Azad. He further said that instead of walking its talk in giving a forceful response to Pakistan, NDA Government and Prime Minister is overzealous to court Pakistan by exchanging sarees and shawls, and that red carpet was laid to Prime Minster of Pakistan Nawaz Sharief before taking the oath. |
