Govt adopts new measures to transform dev scenario: Bhalla | | | JAMMU, July 24: Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture, Youth Services and Sports Raman Bhalla, has said Government has taken various historical initiatives to revolutionize the developmental scenario across the State with emphasis on improving living standards of people living in periphery areas. This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the locals of Preet Nagar, Rani Talab, Dashmesh Nagar and Digiana after launching various development works at an estimated cost of Rs 12 lakh, here today. Bhalla asked the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to complete the works within stipulated time frame so that the people of the localities do not face any inconvenience due to non-availability of today launched projects like construction of lanes, drains with grating facilities besides both sides nallah embankment. Bhalla called upon the people to protect the public property and keep a close watch on developmental works in their respective areas. He said that Government has launched several welfare schemes for uplifting socio-economic condition of weaker sections of the society. Bhalla said that Government is keen to address public concerns on priority and the development machinery has already geared up for timely redressal of the development related issues of the people across the State. The Minister called upon the people to continue their wholehearted cooperation to the Government for achieving the developmental goal. |
