Kathua, Jul 25: 120 MW Sewa-II Power Station of NHPC Limited located at Mashka, in Jammu and Kashmir, today celebrated its 4thanniversary of commissioning when the project was dedicated to the services of the people. 'Power Station situated between the villages of Gatti and Mashka in Basoli tehsil of Kathua district of J&K, the Sewa-II Power Station is a run-of-the river scheme constructed on the Sewa river, a tributary of Ravi, an official spokesperson said. According to the spokesperson of project, as a part of celebrations a special community kitchen (Langer) was organized in which Power project employees and the general public from the surrounding areas also participated. Among prominent present on the occasion were R K Gupta, Executive Director, Region Office Banikhet, Pradeep Johar, General Manager, Chamera-I Power Station, R.P. Sharma, Chief Engineer-I/c, Baira Siul Power Station and Shri Bikram Singh, Chief Engineer-I/c, Chamera-II Power Station and P K Langer, Chief Engineer - I/c, Sewa-II. |
