Cong condemns PDP for tearing off Azad's banner | | | Early Times Report
THATHRI, July 27: A banner of former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member Ghulam Nabi Azad put up by the Congress party in the main bazaar of Thathri was torn and mangled by People's Democratic Party (PDP) activists this afternoon. The banner was erected by the President Youth Congress Inderwal, Mohammad Latief Mughal to vote and support Ghulam Nabi Azad for the parliament election. In a statement issued here Mohd Latief Mughal said PDP has no ground in Inderwal constituency and due to frustration they are doing such cheap activities. He said in parliament elections, PDP got only 1800 votes out of 55,000 votes from Inderwal constituency and in the upcoming Assembly polls, the PDP will be able to get only thousand votes. He further added that PDP candidate from Inderwal Abdul Majid Butt has got only 67 out of 600 votes from his ancestral village Badanoo Thathri and has no ground in Inderwal. He strongly condemned and warned PDP workers not to repeat such acts again otherwise it won't be good for them in future. |
