Jammu, July 27: A large number of Youth Congress workers led by Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Hira Lal Abrol today assembled in front of Press Club Jammu and staged protest demonstration against NDA government for raising inflation. "It is token protest against vegetable price rise as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised Achhe Din to public before LS poll," said JKPCC Secretary Hira Lal Abrol. He said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a false promise to the people of the nation to give them "Achey Din" but in reality they are giving us "Expensive days" by increasing the prices of essential commodities, one by one ranging from LPG, Petrol and diesel to the prices of essentials of daily use and railway fare. "When the BJP was campaigning before the elections, they had promised to curb inflation and cut down the cost of basic amenities. But only after a two month of coming to power the BJP government has started increasing the price of everything," he mentioned. Protesters were demanding roll back of the hiked price of essential commodities so that common man has not suffer more. Expressing his happiness over the victory of Congress Party in Uttrakhand, he congratulated Congress high command including UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad, All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary and Incharge J&K, Ambika Soni and President JKPCC, Saif-Ud-Din Soz. |
