Jammu, July 28 : The Chopper service to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine from Katra was today suspended in view of inclement weather conditions, official sources here said. "The chopper service operated in the morning and four to five sorties carried the pilgrims to Sanjhi Chhat from the base camp," he said and added that thereafter, the service was suspended following heavy rains and fog in the upper reaches. "For the last two weeks, the chopper service has been affected due to rains," he added. The official said the yatra was suspended from the new track near 'earth quarry' and on Bhairon Ghati-Sanjhi Chhat track due to landslides and shooting stones. |
