Lal Singh into BJP with party high command okaying the proposal. Sources said Singh who left union capital late last night from here is expected to meet the senior BJP leaders in New Delhi including party president Amit Shah, general secretary J P Nadda and other senior functionaries to finalize date and venue for his entry into party fold. The green signal given by BJP high command to Singh's entry into the party has silenced many voices within the party who were averse to the move and had made their views public also in this regard. According to sources the deal was finalised here yesterday between party emissary and incharge J&K RP Singh and Lal Singh. RP Singh was specially deputed by party high command to Jammu to hold parlays with Singh here in this regard. Later both Lal Singh and RP Singh left for union capital where the BJP leader will arrange the meeting of former MP with Amit Shah, JP Nada and other senior functionaries of the party and finalise the date and venue of Singh's entry into the party. Meanwhile BJP high command has given strict instructions to its state leader not air their views on the decision sources said. The party leaders were asked to cooperate fully with Singh and work shoulder to shoulder with him in making BJP's mission 44+ a success, sources added. Sources said BJP has however ruled out any bargaining or precondition to the joining of Singh into party. It said party has not made any commitment on any seat with him and the same will be decided only after Singh joins the party. Sources said that BJP may try to adjust Singh on Kathua seat as Singh belongs to the area. But no final decision has been taken on it so far. Sources said with huge margin of lead in Basohli Assembly segment during recent Lok Sabha election some senior leaders have strongly opposed changing of sitting MLA from there also. |
