JAMMU, July 29: Former Deputy Mayor, Dharamveer Singh Jamwal and NC's candidate for forthcoming assembly elections from Jammu West Constituency has felicitated people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Visiting Ustad Mohalla on the occasion of Eid to felicitate people; Jamwal said Eid is a symbol of love and brotherhood. There is no discrimination between big or small, high or low, rich or poor, there is no distinction of any kind." One of the greatest lessons we get from the holy month of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr is to share the difficulties and hardships of needy and seek forgiveness of Allah by rendering whole-hearted support to the poor, curb unlimited desire and worship for attaining righteousness, he added." He prayed for complete peace and hoped that "this occasion will be a harbinger of prosperity, progress. Adding further he said the fasting observed during Ramadhan reaffirms the spirit of charity and generosity and highlights the feelings of empathy. He said this festival reminds us of our duties towards the poor and downtrodden as well as the need for charity and generosity towards all. |
