| Initiate CBI inquiry of all appointments: NSF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 29: Alleging mass misappropriations in funds and abuse of the authorities at the helm of affairs in Central University of Jammu (CUJ), the National Secular Forum (NSF) urged Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Samriti Irani to remove Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) and also to instruct CUJ administration to conduct audit of last three years.
Addressing the press media here today, President NSF Sukhdev Singh said, "Chancellor is brushing aside from their demands and maintaining stoic silence over the entire matter reasons better known to him." While criticizing the working of Central University Vice-Chancellor, he alleged Central University of Jammu authorities for encouraging favoritism within the campus and there is no check accountability in functioning of Central University Jammu.
NSF President further alleged that CUJ was sanctioned for Jammu but 90 percent of teaching staff were outsider. "Moreover all the clerical staff working there is appointed on directions of VC, without any advertisement", he alleged.
Highlighting various demands, the NSF president, Sukhdev Singh appealed to minister of HRD for direct Varsity administration to conduct audit of last three years and initiate a CBI probe in misappropriation of funds.
