Five arrested in twin sacrilegious acts in Jammu region | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 30 : A day after two sacrilegious acts were reported in Kathua and Ramban districts of Jammu region, the special police teams acting swiftly have arrested five persons for their alleged involvement into the act. According to police sources two have been arrested in Ramban case while three in Bani of Kathua district for their alleged involvement in sacrilegious acts in Ramban and Kathua districts. They said that special team constituted by the SSP Kathua on tip off conducted raids and arrested the alleged accused persons in sacrilegious acts took place in Basohli area of Kathua district. The arrested persons were identified as Shamsudin Patti alias Puttu, Manzoor Ahmed alias Bantu, and Mohammad Saleem, all residents of village Janu, Basohli, district Kathua. Meanwhile in a separate incident of sacrilegious act in Ramban district, two persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the incident. An official said that both the accused identified as Farooq Ahmed and Mohammad Yousuf, residents of Udhampur, at present living in Shibgarh area of Dhar near Patnitop, were arrested. |
