Different Hindu organisations protest against series of sacrilegious acts | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 30: Different Hindu organizations today jointly protested against the series of sacrilegious acts occurred in different parts of Jammu province. Protesting under a joint banner, people took to the streets and roads in Gole Market in Gandhi Nagar area and Jewel Chowk to shout slogans against the state government for its failure to protect the sentiments of a minority community which according to these leaders are being targeted to deter them. Manik Salathia, an agitating activist said minority community members are yet to come out of the shocks of Kishtwar violence and these two sacrilegious acts: one after the other has shaken their confidence. Salathia further said that the members of minority community have lost faith in the state government as they have neither been compensated for the loses they suffered in Kishtwar violence nor rehabilitated by the Omar Abdullah government against the fact that terrorists who are getting training in Pakistan are being rehabilitated under different packages. Rajinder, another activist demanded that the real culprits who were involved in two different sacrilegious acts i.e. Chenani and Bhoond in Udhampur and Kathua districts should be arrested to repose faith in the minority community in the majority dominated state. The protest at Jewel Chowk was led by Ashok Jandayal and Pawan Gupta, Janu Gupta and others were among the participants. |
