Monsoon leaves BSNL service 'unwell' subscribers irked; authorities unmoved | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 30: The BSNL subscribers in the entire region are getting weary of the poor services provided by the Public sectore Communication giant BSNL. For past few days, the BSNL mobile service in Jammu as well as adjoining districts is affected and authorities are not paying any attention towards normalizing the services. People allege that BSNL keeps its network down and provides space to private companies to attract customers. Some alleged that BSNL is selling its space to the private companies and in return get favour from them for personal benefits. "This is going on in far off districts on regular basis where higher authorities of BSNL can't reach on regular basis. Local officers and engineers of BSNL care little about normalizing their services and put customers to the task," insiders in the BSNL told Early Time. BSNL is the largest network provider in India for both landline and mobile network and hence enjoys the monopoly over other networks. Each private telecommunication company has to borrow space from BSNL to provide the services to people. "BSNL's higher authorities' are providing space to private companies but when it comes to giving hassle free network, BSNL remains at the end and private companies provide better services", Mohinder, a BSNL subscriber. He further said that due to the attitude of BSNL, more and more customers are switching loyalties towards private companies. "But BSNL, seems least bothered by its eroding customer base", he added. "The higher authorities of BSNL must reach to the bottom of the issue and address so that customers are benefitted. Despite all this I am still sticking to the BSNL because it is economic and reliable but when it comes to quality of services, it remains at the bottom, which is pathetic," said Rajiv. |
