Senior leaders ignored, outsiders with doubtful credentials taking important decisions | State unit of BJP in complete disarray as weak president failed to take control of party | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 30: State unit of BJP is gripped with unprecedented crisis because there is no taker of party in the sensitive border state of Jammu and Kashmir. After becoming Member of the Parliament (MP), the incumbent State president, Jugal Kishore Sharma has become "out of reach" because he is now a national leader. With the absence of the "local" president, the State unit of BJP is captured by two groups which ultimately led to complete chaos and confusion in the party. On the one hand, a general secretary of the party has dominated the party while on the other some outsiders, who are running a NGO, are projecting themselves as real decision makers of the party. The said general secretary, who was earlier popular for his humbleness and politeness, has started showing his power because it is difficult to digest the power. During an interaction with Sarpanches and other Panchayat members of Raipur Domana, humble general secretary arrogantly told the delegation that he has power to make or spoil political career of any leader. The arrogantly narrated example of senior BJP leader, who is close to RSS, and said that the leader had argued with him some years back and now his political career, has spoiled by him. The powerful general secretary mentioned that the said leader was giving due regard so he has killed him politically. Similarly some "outsiders", who are not primary members of the party, were taking decision on behalf of BJP. It is only these leaders who are discussing alliance aspects with Panthers Party. Senior BJP leaders are unaware about joining of leaders from other parties but these outsiders are arranging meetings of leaders of other parties with Central leaders of BJP. Credible sources in the BJP revealed that due to a weak and self-centred state president BJP is slipped into complete disarray. On the one hand a general secretary has controlled all resources of the party while as powers of taking important decisions seem to be delegated to outsiders whose credibility is also under cloud. |
