30 booked for anti-India rant post Eid prayers | | | Asif Iqbal Naik KISHTWAR, July 30: A day after Eid-ul-Fitr, Kishtwar police on the basis of the complaint filed by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, booked 30 persons for raising anti India and pro Pakistan slogans after Eid Nimaz in Kishtwar on Tuesday. As per the details available with "Early Times", Kishtwar police in FIR No. 152 registered U/S 120 B/153 A named 30 accused in the said FIR including some relatives of local ruling party leaders and workers of other political parties. The sources added that police is also preparing the list of other miscreants who were involved in raising anti India and provocative slogans after Eid Nimaz on way to the shrine of 17th century Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA). The police sources said that SSP Kishtwar Sanjay Kotwal is personally monitoring the progress of the case. The sources said that Police are cross checking the names of the accused and two people earlier named amongst the accused have been dropped from the list. Meanwhile, a senior police officer denied any political pressure over arrest of youths involved in raising anti India slogans. " Law shall take it own course and there is no political pressure on police regarding arrest of miscreants involved in raising anti India and pro Pakistan slogans--- we are on job and all accused will be arrested in due course of time," said a senior police officers preferring anonymity. He said that police will not allow the anti national elements to destabilize peace and tranquility in Kishtwar. " We are on the path of peace and development and have achieved the same after sacrificing a lot--- we will not allow anyone to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the District," added the police officer. |
