Advent of state polarization ahead of coming elections?

State's criminal silence on the issue hints at the Government connivance in the act: Panthers
Nonchalance of the police department leaving the issue burning: PDP
Frustrated NC-Cong combine embarked upon such activities to taint PM Narendra Modi as communal: BJP

Jammu, July 30: The recent act of religious sacrilege in two separate districts of Jammu in two consecutive days where cows were found slaughtered raking up communal tensions has raised many eyebrows.
The acts are being seen as an underlining process to communalize and polarize the two divisions of Jammu and Kashmir, allegedly, to cash upon the vote banks of the regions as Assembly elections are drawing nearer.
If the speculations rife over the issue are to be believed, the people of the region in general and the entire sate in particular is of opinion that Government sitting silent over such issues is obviously a hint at the advent of an evil events casting their shadows before.
While the political parties are reluctant to admit the fact openly, yet in cautious and guarded statements to Early Times, the bigwigs castigate the Government's criminal silence as an immoral attitude that apparently as well as obviously hints at the situation turning volatile in coming days, if such an acts are not plugged at put an end immediately.
"Whatsoever is going is wrongful practice and police should take cognizance of the issues and immediately book the culprits to save the situation from turning worse," said Harsh Dev, President Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) adding that Government's criminal silence on the issue hints at the Government connivance in the act which is quite condemnable.
The other important political party of the state PDP also chipped in with its abhorrence towards such acts and stressed for putting an end to such activities.
"The law enforcing agency, particularly the nonchalance of the police in such cases is quite evident as no action has been taken so far. The department should act fast to rein in such activities of religious sacrileges so that the situation can be saved from getting into the polarization of the state," said PDP MLC Naeem Akhtar .
While the saffron party terms it as Congress ploy pan-India, in Jammu and Kashmir it has put the onus on NC-Cong combine to have embarked upon such activities to taint PM Narendra Modi as communal.
"Since National Conference as well as Congress has both suffered humiliating defeat in Parliamentary elections, now they are left with no option, but to indulge into religious sacrilege to taint BJP as communal. It is the state agencies backed by the present dispensation to fire all cylinders to stop BJP to come into power and are trying to put the state on fire by raking up communal issues Pan-JK," said Bali Bhagat , BJP Jammu and Kashmir election committee head.
However, while Jammu simmers on religious sacrilegious carnages, Kashmir boils on Palestine issue as SISI and Al-Qaeda too have started showing its presence in Valley.
Masked men surfaced after the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Eidgah in sensitive old city and waved black flags and banners of ISIS and Al-Qaeda with Kalima (the first basic fundamental of Islam) inscribed on them.
The youth, most of them wearing masks, pelted stones on the force deployments prompting the men in uniform to use lathi charge and fire smoke shells to disperse the mob. Around a dozen police and paramilitary men were injured in the stone pelting.
Though neither of the two pan-Islamic Jihadi organizations have presence in Jammu and Kashmir, there however, is large number of foreign militants mostly Pakistani operating in Kashmir working under the banner of Lashkar-e-Tioba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Al Bader, Hizb-ul-Mujhideen and others.
Security forces were however, rattled when Al-Qaeda released a video in June calling upon the Muslims in Kashmir to wage Jihad against Indian authorities. Entitled 'War should continue, message to the Muslims of Kashmir', the video features the statement of Al-Qaeda commander Moulana Asim Umar threatening that the caravan (of heroic martyrs) was coming to "liberate Kashmir".
