Four dead, 15 Injured as bus rolls down in Panchari | MLC Jugal demands ex- gratia to kin of deceased | | Udhampur, July 30: Four persons were killed and 15 others got injured when a bus in which they were travelling in rolled down into deep gorge at near Dubigali Panchari area in Udhampur district, here today. Expressing sympathies to aggrieved, Congress MLC Jugal Kishore has demanded due ex gratia to next to kin of deceased and best healthcare to all injured. According to police sources, "The ill fated passenger bus bearing regd no JK02F-4247 was on its way from Udhampur to Khoor Gali met with accident near Dubigali Panchari approximately 65 kms from main township of Udhampur at about 6:30pm, when the driver of the vehicle lost his control over the vehicle resulting its rolling down into deep gorge." "On receiving information," police sources said and added, "the police and locals acting swiftly rushed to the accident spot and launching rescue operation to shift injured to PHC Mongri." "The dead have been identified namely as Raj Singh of Katra and Sanal Singh of Lander (both Forest Gurads), Saif-ud-Din s/o Ghgha of Nail Nikha, Rukam Din s/o Firoj Din of Dubigali, sources said. Meanwhile expressing shock and grief over the road tragedy, senior Congress leader and Member Legislative Council (MLC), Jugal Kishore Sharma has demanded adequate ex-gratia to the kins of deceased and best medical treatment to the injured. |
