Katoch elected new working president JPPF, vows to raise issues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 30: Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF), an amalgam of more than 50 social, commercial and other organizations, committed to raise a strong voice against discriminatory, developmental and other social issues pertaining to Jammu province. Katoch was elected as the new Working President unanimously by Thakur Pavitar Singh, Founder President along with other members of the forum. Katoch extended his heartiest thanks to all founder members of the forum for giving him an opportunity to serve the people of the Jammu province by taking up various important issues. He also assured all the members to make this forum an institution of all citizens of the province and will ensure that participation of people from all walk of life irrespective of caste, colour and creed are given due position to reach to the unreached masses. Talking to reporters, Katoch said that there are various developmental issues which required to be taken up by the government. As recently the train has also been extended up to Katra which has affected the economy of Jammu city and the business houses are under severe financial crunch, therefore the government is required to make Jammu's tourism related projects immediately functional so that the losses are compensated. He highlighted that there are so many issues which are already under due consideration of the Government, but nothing concrete has come out so far i.e. the issue of approx 4500 Home Guards who are struggling for their survival since last 14-15 years are paid only Rs 500 per month, 1,500 Agriculture Technocrats appointed under Rehbar-e Zerat, they are also discriminated and denied justice , the POJK refugees fighting since long but no heed was paid to them, the issues of pensioners, unemployed dental surgeons and so many other important issues are there to be taken care of. |
